Diversity in Teamwork

Student Welcome Letter

On Thursday January 22, 2009, first-year students will participate in one of the following
2-hour module sessions:

12:00 to 2:00pm  McInnes Room, Student Union Building, Dalhousie University

 2:00 to 4:00pm   McInnes Room, Student Union Building, Dalhousie University

 4:00 to 6:00pm   McInnes Room, Student Union Building, Dalhousie University

Session, and group assignment are posted below by discipline.
Note: You are required to participate in your assigned group--please do not switch places with another student.

Required pre-module assignment :
1. Complete a short on-line ‘Diversity Self-Awareness’ survey
2. Review the Nova Scotia Department of Health Policy Initiative overview- ‘Diversity and Social Inclusion in Primary Health Care’
3. Review the Diversity module case study

Required post-module assignment:   post-module assignment. pdf doc.

Substitute Assignment: If you are unable to attend one of the sessions and have permission from your course professor to be absent, your professor may require you to complete the Substitiute Assignment. Please contact your course professor for the due date of this assignment.

 Session and group assignments:

A list of all students and assigned session will be posted by Wed. Jan 14.
If you are not registered or require a change of session, please e-mail ipl@dal.ca before 4:30pm Tues, Jan 20 with your name, program, banner number and reason for the change.

A final list with assigned groups will be posted on Wed Jan 21. Your session will remain the same as posted on Jan. 14th unless you have requested a change. Assigned groups and session will also be posted outside the McInnes Room on Jan. 22.
